LEADERSHIP TASK

NETHERLANDS QUEEN FIGHT FOR LIBERTY PART WITH ALLIES DUTCH EMPIRE PEOPLE (Reed. May 25, 1 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. In the course of a statement concerning her withdrawal from the Netherlands, Queen Wilhelmina said to-day: “From the beginning of hostilities the enemy has done everything in his power to capture me. “It is my duty to go wherever the Netherlands peoples continue the fight for liberty. In the hands of the enemy I would be powerless. “This struggle is being waged by Dutchmen escaped from the occupied territory and also by the Dutch fleet which was able to join the Allied fleets almost unscathed. It is my task to give leadership and confidence to these forces and also to carry on the constitutional leadership of 65,000,000 native inhabitants of our Empire.’’
