N.Z. AIRMAN MISSING

BOMBER UNIT PILOT EX-AUCKLAND BOY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Cabled advice has been received by Mrs. G. Tite, of Remuera, Auckland, that her son, Pilot-Officer Robert lan Bernard, has been posted missing after air operations on May 26. Pilot-Officer Bernard, who is 25, was a pupil of the Mount Albert Grammar School and was a keen footballer. He went to Australia, where he was chosen for special air force training in England. Recently he has been attached to a bomber squadron.
