FLEET AIR ARM

OIL DEPOTS RAIDED GERMAN VESSEL SUNK (Reed. May 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 25. The Air Ministry states: “A number of shore base aircraft from the Fleet Air Arm co-operated with medium bombers of the Royal Air Force in a series of harassing attacks yesterday on German concentrations near the Channel coast. “In the course ol’ one attack naval planes set fire to at least three tanks, putting out of action others. “German oil depots at Rotterdam were again attacked this morning by the Royal Air Force Coastal Command. A German torpedo boat was bombed and sunk off the Dutch coast. Heavy bombers of the Royal Air Force were also active again throughout the night.
