Double Arrest
A double arrest was made singlehanded in a lonely locality by Constable F. J. Blackburn, when he encountered two middle-aged men in the yard at the back of the preserves factory ol Irvine and Stevenson, Limited, in Ponsonby,- Auckland, on Wednesdaynight. After a scuffle, Constable Blackburn. who was in plain clothes, held .he intruders for some time until a axicab Chanced to pass, and he took them to the central police station.
