DEATH OF NOTED M.P.’S SIR TERENCE O’CONNOR (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, May 8. The death is announced, of Sir Terence O’Connor, Solicitor-General. Sir Terence. O’Connor, who was 49* has been a Conservative member for Central Nottingham since 1930 and Solicitor-General since 1930. Before the debate in the House of Commons opened, the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, expressed the grief which would be felt at the news of Sir Terence O'Connor’s death by the House in all parts of which he had many friends. Mr. Chamberlain also, referred to the death of the .Labour leader, Mr. George Lansbury, which, he said, would be sincerely regretted on all sides for there was no member who was more widely respected or who had won more universal affection.
