NAVAL TRAWLERS GO

SIX BRITISH CRAFT TOLL AT TRONDHEIM (Reed. May 9, 10 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. The Admiralty states that six naval trawlers were lost during the Trondheim evacuation, namely the Warwickshire of 486 tons, the Cape Chelyuskin of 494 tons, the Jardine of 452 tons, the Saint Goran of 564 tons, the Gaul of 531 tons, and the Aston Villa. Two sank after air attacks. Four were so damaged as the result of air attacks that it was not thought advisable for them to attempt the North Sea crossing and they were sunk by the British forces. The casualties were slight.
