AMERICA WARNED
DEFENCE PREPAREDNESS ARMY STRATEGIST’S VIEW (Reed, May 8, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, May 7. Brigadier-General George V. He said the development of the aeroplane and highly mechanised forces made it a stark, realistic necessity for the United States to be ready to furnish aid swiftly to the _ other western nations if their territorial integrity is violated. “The establishment of foreign bases-in North or South America is an equally dangerous threat against us as against a country in whose territory a stronghold is seized,” he added.
