A new sub-committee, comprising the president, \ ice-president and secretary was set up to compile a roll of all men from the district who enlist for service with the Expeditionary Force in order to keep in touch with their next-of-kin with a view to rendering and service or assistance needed during the men's absence. A motion was passed to advise the Gisborne executive that the s’ bassocintion desired to give its unrest support to any effort made to provide a rehabilitation i' ,iv >d for the benefit of men who return from eci-ve service. It was also decided lo make arrangements if possible for the regular dispatch of parcels to inu’vidunl men; this is being done already by an active committee in Pufia for the men from that centre and t is hoped to extend the scheme to cover the whole of the area of the subassociation.
