Christie, president of the United Kingdom Manufacturers Representatives’ Association, said that members of the association were very disappointed that more relaxation had not been shown to British goods. “As Britain is taking practically all our produce at an agreed price,” lie said, “wc had hoped that under the war conditions it might have been possible to have taken more goods from Britain, but that cannot be done without more relaxation than has been shown by the Government's latest list.”
