ECONOMY IN SOAP
‘ APPEAL IN GERMANY (Reed. March 29, 2.40 p.m.) BERLIN. March 28. German broadcasting stations are asking women to economise in the use of soap by using gloves made from old pieces of cloth for house-work. Women are also requested to peel several days’ supply of potatoes Simultaneously, thereby not wasting ■soap on washing their hands daily, and to economise in the use of stockings by sewing patches of tulle on the toes 'of women’s stockings and leather patches on children’s stockings.
