MAORI RUGBY TROPHY
In all probability the Prince of Wales Cup, which is competed for by Maori teams, would be taken overseas for competition among the five companies constituting the Maori Battalion, stated Captain Chaplain K. T. Harawira at a meeting of the management committee of the Rotorua Rugby Union. A request had been made to the authorities in Wellington to this end and he had every reason to believe that this would be granted. Each company in the battalion represented a tribe, so that keen competition for possession of the trophy would be assured.
