FIGHTING SWORDFISH

STABS HOLE IN LAUNCH Another instance of a swordfish which had been hooked, making a frenzied dash at a, fishing launch, is reported from Sydney. Mr. Roy Kirk, Mosman, was playing a black marlin off the heads when it charged the boat and drove its sword through one of the planks below the waterline. Water began to flood the launch. The ferocity of the attack stunned the fish and it was captured. It was then necessary to drive the launch at full speed for Watson’s Bay with the pump being worked to keep the water in check
