STRANDED U-BOAT RELEASE REFUSED - (Reed. March 29. 2 p.m.) OSLO. March 28. It is officially stated that the U-boat A2l ran aground last Tuesday. A German trawler refloated the U-boat, which then proceeded to port under Norwegian escort. The German Legation demanded the release of the U-boat, but an investigation disclosed that the U-boat ran aground because of mistaken navigation and not as a result of stress of weather. Therefore the Government disarmed and interned the crew.
