Gold in Australia
The increased price of gold has given a great impetus to the goldmining industry in Australia, said Mr. If. ,f. Lemmon, consulting field metallurgist, when passing through Auckland recently on his way to America. Botli Knlgoorlie and Coolgardie were now scenes of great activity. Mr, Lemmon added, while much interest was being taken in the Tennant Creek field in Central Australia, where a lode formation of high-grade ore had been found. Although many miles from the nearest centres of civilisation Tennant Creek has grown into a township of GOO.
