SERVICE PERMITTED
CANADIAN VOLUNTEERS ARMY OF FINLAND (Reed. Mar. 4, 9 a.m.) OTTAWA, Mar. 2. The Canadian Government has announced that it will sanction the enlistment of Canadians for service in Finland. It is stressed that it is not permitting the taking of the oath within Canada but is not restricting volunteers from leaving Canada to join the Finns. The announcement voids the application of the Foreign Enlistment Act passed during the Spanish civil war.
