POLITICIANS’ CLUB CLOSES
LONDON, Jan. (1. St. Stephen’s Club, Westminster, S.W., meeting place of politicians since 1370, lias closed down, and 80 members of the stall' have been thrown out of work. The 700 members have been transferred to live other clubs. The club had its own division bells, which warned M.P. members when a vote was being taken in the House, and they could run back through an underground passage.
