EAST COAST EWES SALE AT MORRINSVILLE VALUES MAINTAINED The entry of breeding ewes from the East Coast and southern districts attracted a good attendance of buyers at the Movn l-.vilic St 'ck Saie, and last week’s advanced rates were easily maintained, especially for older ewes. A good offering of two-tooths was penned, but apparently this class was not in very keen demand, and passings were not infrequent. A small entry of fat sheep and store lambs met a ready sale. One small pen of heavy fat lambs realised ; 31s 9d. Store lambs showed an improvement of approximately Is per head on last week’s rates. Store cattle were firm on a small yarding. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, quote ns follows: — Breeding Ewes. —Four and five-year breeding ewes, ex Raetihi, 22s 3d to 23s 6d; 5-year ewes, 18s 9d to 20s; mixed age ewes, ex East Coast, 18s 9d to 19s; 5-year ewes, ex Tokomaru Bay, 19s 9d to 22s 9d; 5 and 6-vear ewes, ex King Country, 16s to 17s lid; aged ewes, 16s 9d; -5-year ewes, ex Dannevirke, 22s 6d; -2-th ewes, ex East Coast, 255; smaller 22s 6d to 23s 9d; cull ewes, 10s to 17s. Fat Sheep.—Fat wethers, 24s 6d to 25s 6d; fat ewes, 16s; killable, 13s; canner ewes, 5s 9d to 9s 9d; forward conditioned black faced woolly lambs, 15s Gd to 17s 2d; black faced woolly store lambs, 13s lid; shorn wether lambs. 13s lOd to 17s; shorn ewe lambs, 18s 7d; smaller woolly ewe lambs, 15s 3d.
