ANTARCTIC LANDS

DISCOVERY BY BYRD (Reed. March 2, 12.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 1. Rear-Admiral R. E. Byrd reports the discovery of a large peninsula and two islands on the Antarcticas south of the Pacific coast. He added that from an altitude of 6000 ft. the expedition saw a mountain-dotted peninsula projecting seaward for 190 miles.
