INDEPENDENCE CALL
DEMAND FOR INDIA CONGRESS COMMITTEE (Reed. Mar. 2, 12.30 p.m.) PATNA, Mar. 1. The working committee of the Indian Congress passed a resolution lemanding independence, declaring that India could not exist within the orbit of British Imperialism and that the people of India alone could properly shape their -own constitution and determine their relations with other countries through a constituent assembly elected on the basis of adult suffrage. The resolution dissociates the Indian Congress from the war and declares that the congress Ministries were withdrawn to draw attention to this purpose. The resolution will be submitted to a full session of the congress.
