GERMANS GROW COTTON

BERLIN Dec. 21 Germany has raised her first cotton crop, says the Prussian Agricultural Experimental Station in a report today. Cotton seeds were sown in hothouses, and later the young plants were transferred into open fields. They grew to a height of about four and a half feet and bore numerous pods. Experts are now trying to cultivate a plant hardy enough to be planted in the open.
