“RED WITH BLOOD”
LANDS OF POLAND CONQUEST BARBARITIES ITALIAN PRESS BITTER (Reed. March 2, 9 a.m.) MILAN, March 1. The newspaper Popolo d'ltalia fiercely attacks Germany's actions in Poland. It says: “Reliable news compels the question whether there are human feelings left in Germany. The Poles have been deprived of every sacred human right. “Religion has been smashed, homes commandeered, property confiscated, churches profaned, and human beings transported like animals. The soil of Poland is red with blood.”
