BASES IN PACIFIC
fcbfriMMftb CHECK BRITISH MOVE LIKELY (Reed. Feb. 29, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 28. Aiming to check leakages of war materials to Germany, via Vladivostock, Britain is considering the establishment of contraband control bases in the Pacific, probably at Singapore, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Darwin, Fiji, and Auckland. The Australian Navy would co-operate.
