BOON—BERG BOUT NO LICENSE GIVEN (Reed. Feb. 29, Noon.) LONDON, Feb. 28. After the receipt of a letter from the Boxing Board of Control declaring that the bout was not licensed, Eric Boon, the lightweight champion, caused a major surprise by calling off his engagement to fight Kid Berg tomorrow. It is stated that Sydney Hulls promoted the fight in defiance of the Board of Control ruling.
