CARGO OF FERTILISER
FINNISH BARQUE ARRIVES PENANG AT AUCKLAND <Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this . day. After a voyage of two months from the remote Juan de Nova, in the Indian Ocean, the Finnish steel barque Penang entered Hauraki Gulf yesterday afternoon under full sail. The Penang,. of 1997 tons, last visited Auckland in 1938 and the friendly interest taken then in her call will this year be given added warmth as a mark of sympathy in Finland's heroic struggle. The Penang is a unit of the famous fleet owned by Captain Gustav Erikson, 'the largest fleet of sailing ships in the world. The Penang will discharge part of her cargo of fertiliser at- Auckland and later leave for New Plymouth to complete. The barque is carrying one woman passenger, Miss E. Lloyd, who joined the vessel in Britain.
