EXPRESSES DELAYED

MAIN TRUNK LINE DAMAGED SECTION (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Delays to the Main Trunk expresses were again caused yesterday owing to caution being exercised in passing over a section of the line near Piriaka which was damaged through slips during the storm. The first express from Wellington arrived at 8.10 a.m., an hour and a half late. The Limited arrived at 11.49 a.m. instead of 9.30 a.m. Both the outward expresses were dispatched to time, but it was anticipated that further delays would occur at the damaged portion 'of the line where the upward trains were also likely to be affected.
