one biF world’s Rest MINISTER'S PRAISE . “In the next few weeks Burnham will be a show place. One would not be exaggerating to say that it will be one of the best military camps in the world,” said the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. The equipment would be of the most modern and would be on a par with anything in Christchurch. Everything at the camp was wonderfully clean, the discipline was magnificent, and the soldiers were highly appreciative of their new home. The cooking was all that could be desired and 'was equal to that of a high-class restaurant in the city. On his visit he had received nothing but congratulations, the Minister added. Both officers and men praised the state of the camp and the workmanship in building if in a record time. Authority had been obtained to put in a proper sewerage system. For the theatre, which would be equal to any of the smaller city theatres, 550 seats would be arriving at the camp this week, and the projector for films also would be installed shortly. Papakura would be similar to Burnham, and Trentham, when work of remodelling was complete, would be equal to these, A proper sewerage system would be installed at Trentham also.
