MR. J. D. ORMOND HURT

Mr. J. D. Ormond, jun., Wallingford who has been at Trentham military camp in training for service with the Expeditionary Force, is at present in the Wellington Public Hospital as the result of injuries received in a motor accident on the Hutt road on Monday. Mr. Ormond was a passenger in a car driven by a friend, and the crash occurred near the home of his sister, Mrs. E. Giesen. It is understood that Mr. Ormond received serious facial injuries, and that a number of stitches will be necessary to close up gashes.
