MOVE TO STOP SLIDE

BUILDING INDUSTRY COMMITTEE REVIVED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Allied Building Industries Committee, which functioned during the depression years, has been revived in an endeavour to arrest the slide in building revealed in the figures for the past three months. It will be the committee’s task to place the true facts relating to costs and the availability of materials before the public. The matter was before the Federated Builders and Contractors Association toAlay. It was stated that the present difficulties were more apparent than real, and the builders were determined to keep costs as low as possible.
