WILLIAMS SHIELD FIRST CHALLENGE MATCH WIN BY GISBORNE Playing on their home courts duri ing the week-end, Gisborne Lawn I Tennis Club representatives defeated Titirangi players in the first challenge j match of the season for the 11. 13. Williams Shield. Titirangi received a handicap of 18 games, and suffered ! defeat by 22 to 20, the Gisborne rep- ! resentatives being successful in all but one of the men’s singles matches j and one of the men's doubles | matches.
