TIME CORRECTED
FOUR MILE RELAY BID SECOND ATTEMPT LIKELY (Per Tress Association.) MASTERTON, this day. In connection with the four-mile relay race on Saturday in which four watches all gave different times, a wrong announcement was made officially that the time 17min. 17 2-ssec. was 4-5 of a second outside the world record.
Some considerable time later this was corrected to 1 1-5 seconds outside the record, but long after the message had gone out to the sports papers.
It is understood that arrangements are under way for Pullar, Boot, Matthews and Allen to make another attempt on the record at Masterton at Easier.
