Petrol Rationing
Sir, —I had hoped to take my family to see the Exhibition, but as I cannot now obtain petrol and since I cannot possibly afford to pay the usual fares and cost of accommodation, my plans have had to be dropped. As the petrol restrictions were a war measure I was prepared to make my little sacrifice towards the war, but now I learn that although I have to go without petrol special instructions have been issued that trade union secretaries are to be supplied as usual. I have nothing particular against trade union secretaries, except that they seem to be a most useless class of the community, but I am beginning to wonder about that equality oi sacrifice of which we hear so much from the heads ot the Government. Or are the union secretaries the real heads of the Government of this country? DISAPPOINTED.
