PETROL FOR GERMANY INQUIRY INTO LOSSES (Reed. Jan. 23, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 21. The Belgrade correspondent of The Times says that a German commission is investigating the non-arrival at Cracow of a consignment of petroleum from Rumania. It is reported that the consignment was discovered by the Russians, who seized it and diverted it to the Finnish front. Similar disappearances have been frequent since the railway from Cernauti to Lwow was reopened. It may be another reason for the presence of German troops in Galicia.
