Bull Frightened Neighbours

“This bull has been looked upon as dangerous and the defendant’s neighbours in Darwin road have been frightened by it for the past two years,” said Sergeant A. Doel in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when prosecuting John Glenor Harvey on a charge of allowing a bull to wander at large in a public place. Messrs. W. G. Sherratt and W. E. Goffe, J.Ps., who were on the Bench, fined Harvey 15s and costs £1 6s. Mr. A. A. Whitehead appeared for Harvey. Sergeant Doel explained that the owner had since destroyed the animal.
