YOUNG MAN GAOLED
THREAT TO CAR OWNER CONVERSION CHARGE (Tor Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. For an unusual type of car conversion, a young married man, Justin Earl Edmond Constable, was sentenced in the Police Court to-day to seven days’ gaol. A visitor, who had parked his car outside the Leviathan Hotel, found the accused in the driver's seat. He said he was going to drive to Timaru and when informed of the car’s ownership, he jumped into the rear seat, saying: “You drive me to Timaru. I will shoot if you don’t,” poking his fist into the complainant’s back.
