MORE LOSSES AT SEA

BRITISH SHIPS MINED LARGE LINER DAMAGED PUTS BACK TO PORT (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Jan. 22, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 21. The British ship Protesilaus, of 9457 tons, has been mined off the west coast. The crew of 60 were landed. Thirteen of them were injured, mostly Chinese. The Ferryhill, of 1086 tons, was mined and sunk off the north-east .coast. Two of the crew were rescued, but 12 are believed to have been lost. An unknown steamer rescued the crew of the Nautic, whose SOS was received in Oslo.

The Union Castle liner Llandaff Castle, of 10,786 tons, bound for Africa, returned to Southport two days after leaving. She reported that she was slightly damaged as a result of an accident.
