RED ARMY STRENGTH OPINION IN ITALY (Reed. Jan. 22, 9 a.m.) ROME, Jan. 20. A semi-official review of international relations expresses the opinion that the myth of the irresistible power of the Bolshevist army has been exploded in Finland. The Soviet leaders preferred a German alliance to one with Britain and France because they realised that the Red Army could not defeat the Germans.
