RURAL THEATRES
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Dec. 1. Arkansas rural people are turning to the stage as a means of recreation and profit. During the past year, according to June Donahue, specialist in community activities at the University of Arkansas, more than 1000 plays and pageants were given in which 7000 persons in various rural sections of the State have participated. Some of the theatres are open-air affairs along the roadside and others are in schools and community centres.
The Nf>w York Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce estimated that the United States can produce 15,000 planes a year.
