‘ALL-ROUND CRIMINAL’

MAN’S 56 CONVICTIONS ADELAroE, Dee. 27. A man described by the assistant police prosecutor as “a good, all-round inter-State criminal” was charged in the Adelaide Police Court yesterday with the theft of an £lB wireless set. He was William Adams, aged 63. labourer. "It would take half an hour to read his convictions,” said the prosecutor. “Beginning in 1917. there is a continual succession of offences in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia. They total 58 under various aliases.’’

Adams was sentenced to imprison ment for nine months.
