Late-born Lamb

An unusually late lamb was born last week on the property of Mr. P. W. Hawkins, in the Kaipara hills, and despite its unseasonable appearance, has continued to thrive. The lamb was found with its mother among a flock oi (iOO dry ewes on Wednesday. Farmers in the district stated that they had no memory of any lamb being born so late in the season, which is usually ended in November. The latest reported until the present instance was in, early December.
