AIR FORCE PROMOTION
AUSTRALIAN OFFICERS (Reed. Jan. 9, 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 9. Air Vice-Marshal R. Williams, who has been recalled to Australia from exchange duty with the Royal Air Force, is to be promoted to the rank of acting air-marshal. Acting Air Vice-Marshal S. J. Goble, who has just relinquished the post of chief of the air staff is to be promoted to the rank of air. vice-marshal.
