NO CHANGE IN POLICY REACTION IN PARIS SERVICES ACCLAIMED (Reed. Jan. 8, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. That no change in Britain's policy is involved is one of the chief comments in Paris on the resignation of the British War Minister. The news has been received by the Paris press with surprise, and* recognition of the splendid work carried out by Mr. Hore-Belisha during his term of office as War Minister is generally acclaimed. Writing in Le Journal, M. Bernus says: “As far as Prance is concerned, there has been nothing but praise of the relations which the Ministers and military leaders have maintained with Mr. Hore-Belisha. Collaboration with this intelligent and energetic man has always been easy.”
“The Intransigeant says: “What is in any case certain is that the departure of the Secretary for War should not in any way change the guiding principles unanimously adopted by Mr. Chamberlain’s Government in regard to tlie conduct of hostilities.”
