STAND BY RUMANIA CAROL’S DECLARATION RESIST AS LIVING WALL (Reed. Jan 8, 9 a.m.) .BUCHAREST, Jan. 6. King Carol has approved the creation of a Supreme Army Council under the presidency of the Minister of Defence. In a speech at a big military parade 12 miles from the Russian frontier in Bessarabia, King Carol warned the Soviet that Rumania would resist as one living wall if the Communists attempted an invasion. “Bessarabia will always remain Rumanian by force of our arms,” he said. It was King Carol’s first visit to Bessarabia since his ascension. Russian, Ukrainian and German minority •leaders swore allegiance to King Carol.
