Commencing a Sheffield Shield cricket match against Queensland, South Australia in the first innings made 164 for six wickets, Ridings scoring 35 and Whitington 38. Queensland produced a new clever medium-fast bowler, J. Stackpoole, who flew from Adelaide, where he was visiting, to Brisbane, to play his first Sheffield Shield game. He got Bradman for a duck and altogether has taken four wickets for 37.
