POST AT AUCKLAND (l*er Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The new assistant trade commissioner for Canada in New Zealand has arrived in Auckland where he will make his headquarters. j Me is Mr. C. B. Birkett, of Ottawa, who has been in the service of the Canadian Government since 1931 and occupied a position similar to his present one in Liverpool, England, for six and a half years until the outbreak of war. Mr. Birkett will be the successor of Mr. R. P. Bower, who was transferred from Auckland to Sydney in July. Mr. Birkett will be associated with the commissioner in Auckland, Mr. \V. F. Bull.
