808 PENDER DEAD LONDON. Nov. 2(1. Bob Pender, famous stilt walker, who took his troupe of giants round the world several times, died yesterday in a Southend hospital. He was 68, and had been retired for 15 years. A star himself, he helped to make another star by giving a job to a Bristol boy named Archie Leach and sending him to America to wofir. There film talent scouts picked him up and took him to Hollywood, where they gave him a new name. They called him Cary. Grant
