His Majesty said: “With the greatest confidence I foresee victory in which we shall enjoy peace and no longer be troubled by threats of .violence from those who have manifested their aversion to peace, except that of subjection and oppression.” M. Lebrun said: “France, Britain and the Dominions are equally resolved to terminate criminal aggressions which have plunged so many innocent populations into mourning and servitude,”
