Scrub Fire Under Control
strenuous endeavours by workmen from the State Forest Service, the scrub fire which menaced large tracts of plantation near Rainbow Mountain, on the Taupo-Rotorua road, on Mondav. is now under control. Burning-back operations from near the Waiotapu Hotel proved successful, and the fire is now dying down, although still burning back in the hills to the west of the Taupo road
