TE KARAKA RAINFALL
BIG DECEMBER TOTAL YEAR BELOW AVERAGE (Herald Correspondent.) The rainfall recorded at Te Karaka in December was above the average for the past 26 years. The total for the rponth was 5.37 in of which 4.54 in fell on the night of Saturday, December 16. For the year, the total was well below tjie average of 39.37 in. and amounted to only 31.88 in, compared with 51.99 in in 1938. Below are given the totals for each rfionth of the past year, as well as for 1938, and the average monthly falls:—
