Bishop Surprises Conference
An unexpected visitor to the annual conference of the New Zealand Christian Student Movement held in Wanganui was the Bishop of Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland. The bishop gave an address, tracing his own connection with the movement during the past 35 years and the remarkable record of the movement in its 50 years of existence. Several thousand university graduates had gone to the mission fields largely as a result of their connection with the movement, he said, and a unique contribution had been made to the growing cause of Christian reunion.
