RESCUE BY FRENCH
SPANISH VOYAGERS SHIP LOST BY FIRE (Reed. Jan. 3, i 0.50 a.m.) PARIS, Jan. 2. A French destroyer rescued the crew and 200 passengers from the Spanish liner Cabo San Antonio, which was yesterday reported to be afire at sea 500 miles south of Teneriffe. Those rescued included General Suerodiaz, the Chief of the Spanish General Staff.
Madrid reports that the Cabo San Antonio finally sank.
